Similar to onions, lampascioni grow spontaneously in the Apulian Murge area: they are wild bulbs that stimulate the appetite and benefit the intestine by activating the body’s gastric functions.

Characterized by a bitter and high-quality flavor, they are ideal for aperitifs (better if combined with traditional dishes and taralli), perfect for grilled meats and excellent for flavour-packed omlettes.
Versatile and sophisticated, lampascioni are one of the oldest and most characteristic vegetables of Southern Italy.
